STUFF I AM LOOKING FORWARD TO

So next week I will be going to Springield, Illinois and going to the Beth Moore Conference with my best friend Brenda. It is the Bi-Centennial of Lincoln's birth and I am sure we will have fun seeing the sights as well as hearing a "good word" from Beth herself! As you can see from the fun we had last year, we have pretty high expectations for this year!

Brenda and I decided to try and make one of her conferences every year, just the 2 of us so we could have some sweet fellowship time! As you can see from last summer's trip to San Antonio, we definitely know about fellowship!

Do you see us? Brenda is in the 3rd row, left side with the light blue shirt on and I am right behind her!

WEDDING WEEKEND BACK HOME

On Thursday, Dave and I drove home to St Charles for the wedding of our best friends, Charlie and Brenda's son David. Most of you know the story of how Dave and Charlie met back in high school and have been best friends ever since. They even made a pact to name their sons after one another. Charlie married Brenda and they had 2 daughters, then a son which they named David Charles. Dave and I married and after having a daughter together we had a son named Charles David. Brenda and I became best friends as well and she is just like a sister! I love her to pieces!

Missouri was in peak Autumn foliage, the trees were stunning in their explosions of colors! On Friday we met with my folks AKA "Omi and Opi" for lunch so we could squeeze in a quick visit. Jennifer came with "Sweet-Tart" and "Twizzler", unfortunately, "Kit-Kat' has been sick so she stayed home from school that day and I didn't get to see her. Jessica drove up with Charles and "Jelly Bean" so they were at the restaurant as well. That evening we went to the Rehearsal and the Rehearsal Dinner. Jessica's husband Steven flew into St Louis Friday evening to be there as well.

Saturday morning we went over to Dave's brother Perry and his wife Peggy's house for a yummy breakfast and visited until we needed to get ready for the Wedding. The Wedding was in the most gorgeous setting I have EVER been to and once agian Autumn was in its full glory! Jessica will be posting pictures soon and then I will be able to share the link for those as well. We hit the road before 5AM yesterday morning and drove back to Texas. It was a whirlwind weekend but it was wonderful to be able to share in this milestone of our precious friends!

CELEBRATING BUB'S BIRTHDAY!

On Saturday, Jelly Bean and I came home form the Pumpkin Patch and Charles and 2 of his friends were already here catching the OU/Longhorn's game on TV. I threw some hamburgers and bratwurst on the grill and we had a nice meal before cake and gifts. All too soon, he had to take off and go to work. happy 19th Birthday Bub! I love you! MOM

This seems like old times! His friends over, watching a football game or playing video games, eating snacks and drinking our sodas!

He prefers a cookie cake and since it is his birthday, that's what he gets!

That's what my blog is doing these days! I haven't had a lot of spare time and so one of the casualties is my blog. Laura came down with pnumonia and pleurisy and stayed with us for *5 days and then we had Charles' birthday, Jelly Bean for an over-nighter making cookies and the Pumpkin Patch, a beautiful wedding and now we're getting ready to go out of town on Thursday for a whirlwind weekend in St Charles for another wedding.
